STACEY PERKINSON

STACEY PERKINSON (Company Dancer) originally from Virginia, dance training began at Richmond Ballet located in Richmond, VA. Perkinson continued to train through high school attending Appomattox Regional Governors School for the Arts in Petersburg, VA. While attending high school, Perkinson took 3 months’ leave to perform "Footloose" with the North Carolina Theatre. During Perkinson's Senior year she created, choreographed, and directed an evening of dance titled Reflections. Upon graduating high school, Perkinson attended and graduated from George Mason University Perkinson taught dance at Fairfax Ballet. Upon Graduating, Perkinson relocated to New York to pursue a dance performance career. Perkinson has worked with BEings Dance Company and STREB. Performances include Laura Dean's "Skylight," 60X60 World Financial, Steps Lab, Rodger Belman "Trace," Richmond Ballet "Nutcracker," Moscow Ballet "Swan Lake," Training also includes Broadway Dance Center's Shelia Barker, Michelle Barber, and L.A Contemporary. Perkinson has danced with Harper Continuum Dance Theatre since its debut in 2010. Her performances include The High Project, Intrinsic Amusement, and Bound & Determined. She most recently reprised her original role in The High Project during The First Annual Artist Showcase at The Barns of Kanak in Virginia, while being added to the cast for Striking Figures...A Collection of Dances about Women.
