LAY’LA KESSI ROGERS (Company Dancer) is currently a second-year graduate student in the schools of NYU Tisch and Steinhardt, studying dance and dance education. Lay'la graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in May of 2018 with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography and has had the privilege of performing throughout the United States and overseas. Lay’la is professionally trained in ballet, modern jazz, and contemporary. After graduation in May of 2021, she hopes to train and perform professionally in New York City while also beginning her career as a professional dance educator and arts activist. Lay’la has performed in collaborative performances with Harper Continuum Dance Theatre since 2015.
